How did we get here?

Founder

My name is Kha Han Nguyen, you can call me Han 👋🏻

During 8 years of studying and working in fashion industry, I witnessed the origin of over-consuming, and the over-producing situation make it difficult to see the true value of the “things” we use everyday. Therefore, I came to a conclusion that value and quality are 2 essential elements that each person or a company should pursuit - propose - present.

That is why I have this idea to create a community that supports recycling and sustainable lifestyle.

It started with a small passion that I have had along my life, collecting secondhand & vintage objects that had some kind of aesthetic or historical values. I feel like an object or a human being is more vivacious and valuable when it has a connection with another object or another human being, and I believe that any product that we are consuming reflects our own mentality.

In 2020, during the time of COVID-19 lockdown in Paris, I founded Anna Vintage - an instagram account presents vintage decoration objects.

To expend my visions, gammeCOLLECTIVE was founded in 2021.

As a Vietnamese who lives in France, I want to create a community in which we care - a place where we support diversity, mix-culture & sustainability.

gammeCOLLECTIVE's collection - the beginning

Now when you mention gammeCOLLECTIVE, immediately you think about silk, it is our core material. Just fascinating by the story of the material, its nature quality, and how it has such a long-standing & strong history with my country, I decided silk will be our main focus, along with the timeless shape cuts like kimono top, unisex loose trousers, …

With the concept in mind, I started doing the design in Paris, working in long-distant with the team in Ha Noi to produce the collections. We also work closely with silk villages, local artists and artisans in Ha Noi to make sure that all our produces are responsibly made.

We connect

Given the name gammeCOLLECTIVE, my main focus is still forming a community.  So in the beginning of 2022, I have a chance to go back to Vietnam, and by chance, I had interesting encounters with some local designers in Ha Noi. In most cases, Vietnamese designers only offer their collections to the domestic market due to the language barrier and international logistic problem.

Impressed by their quality, production process and designs, I invited them to be a member of gammeCOLLECTIVE, so that we could be united in one platform to expand, grow together and support each other.

Present and Future

After a year and a half, gammeCOLLECTIVE is now honoured to present collections from four Vietnamese designers, selected vintage decorations from France and its Signature gamme Collection internationally.

On my journey building this space, I have received so much loves and helps from my friends in Paris and my team in Ha Noi. We met, we connect, and we love.

gammeCOLLECTIVE is only growing, welcoming more and more talented people …
